Current Projects

Since 2011 the Lakeside Drive Community Garden has trained over 1,500 community members in sustainable food production and established 20 local primary and secondary school gardens through its educational outreach programs and collaborative partnerships.

2017 Projects

• MAX Work for the Dole
• Monthly workshops on permaculture, organic gardening and sustainability themes
• Compost collection at festivals
• Weed management and re-vegetation of the mangrove zone behind LDCG site and wild life corridor
• Became a Land For Wildlife Educational site
• Established a financial membership system
• Built the Green Shed, an undercover area to protect us from shade and rain
