A relaxed and friendly weekly activity group for parents or carers with children aged 0-5 years.

These weekly gatherings at the Community Garden will provide an opportunity for parents/carers and their children to enjoy being in and connecting with nature.

We will explore growing and eating local produce in the tropics. We encourage people from various cultural backgrounds to participate and share their knowledge around plants and cooking.

These session will be a great chance to meet other families, share skills, have fun together and eat from the garden. Everyone is welcome.

6 WEEK PROGRAM

Starting on Monday 30th July 2018, 9-10:30am the program will run in 6 week blocks for the rest of this year. Activity themes include:

• Planting and decorating the garden
• Food from the garden
• Printing with vegetables
• Animals in the garden – dance and movement
• Sounds of the garden – music and song
• Art in the garden

Each week we will finish with a shared morning tea at the garden enjoying healthy food and freshly picked produce.

COST

We ask for a gold coin donation each week or you can become a member of LDCG ($10) and attend all of the sessions for the remainder of the year. Donations and memberships will be collected on the day.
