Ian Hance is a local birdo who will share his insights into how you can make your garden more bird friendly and will share some of his experiences on what plants and water features produce the best results, not only in attracting birds but providing habitat for nesting. He will help you identify the birds that are more likely to be seen within the Darwin environment. Please bring binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them. Ian will also have plenty of field guides to peruse.
Free for LDCG members. You can become a member for the remainder of the year for $10.
Otherwise the workshop is $10 for the general public.
Workshop fees and memberships will be collected on the day.
Please wear a hat, bring drinking water and sunscreen. Morning tea will be provided.
There is a dirt driveway entrance to the garden at the Power and Water substation gate. Otherwise you can park across the street. Better yet, ride your bike, walk or catch the number 4 bus.
