The Mulch Pit

The Mulch Pit, a place for growing food and fun. The organic garden is hosted by Nightcliff Uniting Church and is based upon permaculture principles:
– Earth Care
– People Care
– Fair Share
 
The Mulch Pit is open for all of the community and is always in process, guided by fun, art, creativity and beauty.
 
Saturday mornings (9am – 12 noon) are a great time to visit, meet people and find out what’s happening at the garden. The beloved Frillies Op Shop is open (quality secondhand clothes at affordable prices) and the volunteer-run cafe is serving coffee and home baked treats. Grab yourself a cuppa and have a walk around the garden. There is a sandpit, toys and some times activities to entertain the kids. The Much Pit also hosts regular community dinners using local produce, working bees in the garden and workshops. Check out their Facebook Page for the details.
